When I was fifteen, I decided to go out for cross-country because I thought one of the guys on the team was cute! In the process I discovered that I actually liked running. In fact, I liked running so much that I never wanted to take a day off. As a result, injuries, aches and pains, and inconsistent race performances seemed to become my norm. While I was being treated for my latest injury at Therapeutic Associates Physical Therapy at Parkcenter, the staff encouraged me to train for the Ironman 70.3 Boise with the Performance High, LLC team in hopes that I would experience less injuries. Not only did I train injury-free while feeling great the whole time, but all my running times improved and a new passion developed. Gone are the days of training harder, because with Performance High I have learned that training smarter is the key to not only getting faster, but enjoying the sport even more.
