Mtn Bike Season is almost here! Are you ready?

Coach Michelle gives you 5 excellent tips on making sure you (& your bike) are ready!

Build your Base

  • Longer, lower intensity exercise to build fitness foundation
  • Preferably lower body oriented – running, road biking, spin classes
  • 2-3 days/wk

Layer on the Intervals

  • Shorter, harder efforts mimic short uphills & going over obstacles
  • Push HR up, rest, repeat
  • HIIT / Bootcamp Classes, hill repeats
  • 2-3 days/wk

Get Strong!

  • Full body weight workouts increase your ability to climb, navigate obstacles
  • Core focus…don’t forget upper body (rows for climbing)
  • 2-3 days/wk

Improve Technical Skills

  • Balance/coordination exercises…BOSU’s, stability balls
  • Skills Clinics
