Bike Tune Up Tips

Bike Tune Up Tips from Dirt Dart Mobile Service

Before your first ride, make sure your bike is ready to go! Some great bike tune up tips courtesy of Steve Parrish!

A couple of things to check on your bike before your first ride:

  • Tire Pressure-it is stamped on the sidewall of each tire.
  • Tire Inspection-check for cracks or cuts in the tires.
  • Chain Lube-when you rub the chain with your fingers there should be just a little lube on your fingers.
  • Rim brakes-look for cracks or aluminum deposits on the brake pads. If you find these, you need new brake pads
  • Disc brakes-if you squeeze your brake levers and you don’t have brakes, you will possibly need a brake bleed or brake pads and rotor.

If you would like a bike inspection or bike tune-up you can contact Steve Parrish at DirtDart.com to schedule an appointment or text 208.895.8000.  We would be glad to get you on the schedule and riding again.
Cheers,
