- Reframe It
- Track it
- Organize it
Part 1 of 3: Reframe It
- Change your words – “don’t” instead of “can’t”
- Break big goal into Daily Action Steps
My Goal – Improve my time management…be more time-efficient.
Reframe It: Change my words…
- I don’t waste time!
- I don’t use Facebook or internet w/o specific purpose…I don’t use it to “kill time”.
Daily Action Steps
- Create To Do List
- Prioritize tasks by number (1 – most important)
- Time block the next day
Part 2 of 3: Track It:
My Goal – Improve my time management…be more time-efficient.
- Two ways…
- Track what you currently do
- Track what you WANT to do
- Both require Time Blocking
- Break day into 1/2hr blocks
- Assign a task to EVERY bit of time
- Reassign blocks if you get off-track
Part 3 of 3: Organize It:
My Goal – Improve my time management…be more time-efficient.
- Prepare the night before
- Give task a time limit – use alarms
- Eliminate all distractions
- Plan ahead (bring book, look forward in calendar)
