A Week in My Life – Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023
For work, Tuesdays are a long day – I start at 5:30AM & finish at 6:00PM. Thank goodness I have a partner who’s willing to cook dinner for me!! Whew…!
Normally I like to do my long interval run on Tuesdays. But, despite my decent Oura numbers, I didn’t want to risk aggravating my calf muscle. Also, since I had a 2nd PT appt scheduled to work on said calf muscle, I didn’t see the need to potentially make things worse. So, I decided to take it as a Rest Day. If there’s anything I’ve learned over the years…taking more time off to heal a small injury will often keep it from becoming a bigger, more problematic injury. To me…the avoidance of a major injury is TOTALLY worth the extra time off.
